I am a female faculty member in Computer and Information Sciences Department at University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and will be the local host for the events if approved. UAB serves as only one of three schools in Alabama ranked as a Carnegie Doctoral/Research - Extensive institution. U.S. News and World Report has ranked 11 programs at UAB as among the top in the country. Currently there are 300 students in our undergraduate CIS program and 87 students in our graduate program. The percentages of women in each category are 15% and 26%, respectively. For more information about resources that are available to CRA-W, please check the attached PDF file. Should you need more information, please kindly let me know. Thank you for your consideration. best, Chengcui Zhang Ph.D. Assistant Professor Department of Computer and Information Sciences University of Alabama at Birmingham ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Thu, 30 Jun 2005 11:25:17 -0500 (CDT) From: Chengcui Zhang To: Anthony Skjellum Cc: Kathy Baier Subject: URGENT: application for hosting CRA-W Recruitment Events Hi Tony, Sorry I have to mark this as URGENT as the application deadline is TODAY.
